Our highly curated campus offers a relaxed, vintage flair, inviting you to explore outdoor spaces and cozy indoor nooks where you can gather, refuel, and enjoy our concierge-level experience. You’ll find yourself close to local attractions, including the Ithaca Commons, state parks, and area colleges, making it the perfect base for your getaway.
The Grayhaven Motel offers a classic, old-school experience across four unique buildings: the Main House, the Carriage House, the Cottages, and the Treman Lodge, all on 11 scenic acres in the Finger Lakes. Our accommodations are diverse, featuring King, Queen, or Double Queen beds. Some suites and Cottages also offer additional twin daybeds. While many rooms are ground-level, two of our suites are located on the second floor of the Main House and the Carriage House. Due to this variety, we encourage guests to review the specific listing description of the room they have booked to confirm its features.
Across our rooms, you will find high-quality, Thomaston Mills made in USA linens and a private bathroom with 1888 Mills made in USA towels. Every room includes heat, air conditioning, a hair dryer, an alarm clock, and an iron with an ironing board. We provide natural bath products by EO (a certified B Corp). For your comfort and convenience, room amenities include full kitchens, refrigerators, or a 54-quart Coleman cooler with bags of ice available for purchase in the office. Entertainment options include complimentary WiFi, a record player, or a television with Prime TV and an Amazon Fire Stick for you to log into your own streaming accounts. Many rooms also feature a large picture window with a bird feeder. Wake up to our complimentary continental breakfast. We proudly feature premium ingredients from the Finger Lakes region, including high-end, regionally roasted Pitch Pine Coffee Roasters coffee, creamy Ithaca Milk Yogurt, local juice from Red Jacket Farms, and delicious granola from Wide Awake Bakery. You can also enjoy a selection of organic half-and-half, oat milk, Harney & Sons teas, organic oatmeal, and local maple syrup. Gluten-free options are also available upon request. This complimentary breakfast is a thoughtful thank-you to our registered guests. If you have non-registered visitors joining you, they are welcome to partake for a small additional fee of $12 per person. Breakfast is available at Reception from 8am-10:30am daily.
Our 11-acre property offers a great way to enjoy the outdoors. Guests can explore our walking trails and a natural setting in the Inlet Valley—keep an eye out for local wildlife. On-site, guests are welcome to use the fire pits, grills and picnic tables, and the communal patio area. For recreation, we offer lawn games, a Bocce Court, and a Vintage Playground. In the winter, enjoy a walk on one of our trails or cozy up in our Guest Lounge with a book next to the wood-burning stove.
Beyond our property, we are perfectly positioned between two stunning state parks and a nature preserve, making area gorges and waterfalls and easy visit. We are close to activities like swimming, hiking, fishing, hunting, and cross-country skiing, making us the ideal four season home base for your Finger Lakes adventures.
For your convenience, local beer, wine, cider, soft drinks, and snacks are available for purchase year-round from our reception desk / Bar in the Main House. You can text an order from your room or stop by in person during office hours. We also offer a selection of curated local products and Grayhaven merchandise in our small office camp store, located in the Main House.
