Oracle Chocolates is a small, artisan chocolate company, creating handmade chocolates and pastry in downtown Ithaca, New York. Inspired by faerie tales, folklore, and mythology, Brien & Miranda are the creative force behind Oracle. They enjoy creating unexpected, surprising flavor combinations that bring magical themes and memories to mind. Their chocolates are a unique and delicious multi-sensory experience – chocolate that feels like something you almost remember, and like nothing you’ve ever had before.

Join us during the dog days of summer!

We have partnered with the Seneca Lake Wine Trail to bring you an awesome pup-centered accommodation package complimenting their event, Gone to the Dogs.

For the week of August 22-26, participating pup(s) will enjoy a fun box of doggy-only charcuterie from the amazing Bones Dog Bakery . Their accompanying humans will enjoy our signature charcuterie kit (made for people) and a wonderful bottle of Finger Lakes wine. If you don’t have a dog, fear not! Ithaca and Grayhaven are happy to host human-only reservations, too! 

Check out our yearly arts celebration, the iconic Ithaca Festival.

This year’s theme is “Together Again”; dates are June 2 – 5, with the opening parade on June 2.

We have limited availability that weekend, and recommend booking ahead!

April Gallery Night, Friday April 1 

The Grayhaven is happy to present the multi-talented Deirdre Prince‘s art for the month of April! Stained glass + paintings on wood will adorn our windows and walls.

Ms. Prince’s opening reception of Welcome to the Jungle, Friday, April 1 between 4 – 7pm. 

Cider, beer, soft drinks, and Oracle Chocolate’s truffles will be available for purchase.

Upcoming Events at the Grayhaven Motel and Beyond

Friday, April 1st: Gallery night. Join us from 4 – 7pm for the opening reception of Welcome to the Jungle from Deirdre Prince. 

Sunday, April 3rd: Dakhabrakha at the State Theater! DakhaBrakha is a Ukrainian folk quartet which combines the musical styles of several ethnic groups. It was a winner of the Sergey Kuryokhin Prize in 2009. Click their name to learn more and purchase tickets.

Sunday, April 24th: Stay through Sunday night and learn to make a spinner ring! Perfect for calming nerves, used as a fidget tool, and a beautiful piece of statement jewelry. Class is from 2-6, held at The Metalsmithery in Artist Alley on South Hill.

Recommended itinerary for April 1 – 3rd:

  • FRIDAY: Check in and enjoy the first Friday opening reception in our guest lounge. Head to the Ithaca Beer for dinner and maybe cap the night off with a Gallery Night Ithaca walking tour.  
  • SATURDAY: Start the day at the Ithaca Farmer’s Market, then head to our neighbor Buttermilk Falls State Park, for inspiring views and nature therapy. After a farm-to-market dinner at Coltivare, head up to South Hill Cider for Comedy on the Commons  from 7:30 – 9:30 with touring comedians paired with our local delicious cider! 
  • SUNDAY: Drink coffee and read the Sunday NYTimes. Head to brunch at one of our favorite spots. Stay Sunday night so you can catch Dakhabrakha at The State Theater!
