May ’24 @ Grayhaven

Welcome To May, Motel Lovers!

As May kicks off our tourist season, we are happy to be welcoming travelers from all over the world as they make Grayhaven their home away from home here in the Finger Lakes! May also welcomes the return of our Sunday + Wednesday Farmer’s MarketsIthaca Bike Rentals, and a slew of fun outdoor happenings as we all open our windows and invite the sunshine and longer days into our lives.

The gardens here at Grayhaven are not to be missed. The patio shade sails are going up, and the bird feeders will be back at full capacity soon. We look forward to sharing all of it with you!

Free Jazz in the Lounge May 1st
We are so excited to present an evening with New York City based trio Michael Foster’s “Ghost.” The Ghost was formed as both a tribute to Michael’s disparate influences in free jazz, harsh noise, and the gay underground community, and as a middle finger to the suffocating heteronormative establishment of improvised music. Come early for a free workshop on Queerness in Experimental Music at 6pm!

Flora, Fauna + Funga
Our First Friday Art Show for May is “A 12 Month Exploration of Nature’s Wonders,” a solo art show by Rachel Fierman.  Join us in the lounge Friday May 3rd from 5-8pm.  Cash bar + Complimentary Snacks Provided!

Congrats Graduates!
May in Ithaca is very special, as visitors from all over come to celebrate with graduates from Ithaca College and Cornell University. The area comes alive, roads and restaurants fill to the max, and for us at the Grayhaven it’s a happy (and often teary) goodbye to families that we’ve gotten know and enjoyed hosting over the last 4 years. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
