Behold! Our first fruit!!! We planted somewhere in the realm of 30 fruit trees last fall. Weeping mulberry, weeping crabapple, plum, sweet cherry, pear, and probably something else that my mind can’t conjure up at the end of a busy weekend. These trees were put to the test. A super late frost after most had flowered and started to leaf out. No rain. SO MUCH rain. Beetles. Fungus. Webworms. You name it, we are learning about it. It made for a very exciting weekend to find fruit on one of the weeping crab apple trees near the little camper. YAY.
